Andrea Hawkes 2020 Collection, ‘Identity’

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to the private preview of the new Andrea Hawkes 2020 Collection, ‘Identity’.

It was hosted at The Goldsmiths Centre in Clerkenwell and a very intimate affair, with a selective guest list of both press and brides.

If you are unfamiliar with the designer, Andrea Hawkes mission statement reads:

‘Contemporary wedding dresses in classic shapes with fit and feel at the forefront of our design. Made with precision in the UK using the highest quality natural silks and lace.’

And on their new collection:

‘Our new bridal collection, Identity, encapsulates modern sophistication and individuality. It has been created to reflect the individuality of each bride. Every piece is unique in its place throughout the collection, ranging from retro wedding dresses and high neck designs to bridal jumpsuits. With 22 new dress designs, this collection offers a variety of bridal styles to the bride-to-be, from modest to modern, sophisticated to chic.’

With modern clean lines, sleek silhouettes and unfussy details, it’s very much up my street! So I wanted to show you some of my favs from the evening 😍

I’m in love with this cape! (Capes are the new veils, for sure)
The delicate plunge detail is sexy but sophisticated
The fit and flow of this gown is just gorgeous, plus the little cap sleeves are just so pretty
Three completely different looks entirely! And it’s nice to see sleeved wedding dresses making a comeback!

I also very much like that Andrea is a local East London designer and still very much the face of her brand – and was there chatting to everyone afterwards, thanking them for coming.

Prices start at around £1,800, but depend on the design and any bespoke details added.

See the full collection on the Andrew Hawkes website here.
