Charlotte & Tom – A Wild Woodland Ceremony + Barn Reception at High Billinghurst Farm

A wild woodland ceremony, with canapes in the field, and a barn reception at High Billinghurst Farm (made famous over the last few years because Joe Wicks aka The Body Coach got married there!) with boho vibes and gorgeous aesthetics.

It was the height of summer (2021, I’m still catching up on popping all my past weddings on the blog!), but we just about managed the gorgeous woodland ceremony before the rain came.. it was so romantic! The day itself had a bit of a rustic festival vibe, owing to lots of music and entertainment everywhere. Starting with a woodland ceremony, a walk over a field afterwards to the stretch tent on the lawn for nibbles, canapes, bubbles and more drinks, and a wandering band, then into the barn for dinner. The sit down dinner was anything but festival vibes though, a carefully curated menu with short interlude afterwards for cake and sweet treats, before cocktails outside while the room was being turned into a dancefloor.

Food, drink and music were important to the couple to ensure the day had the party feel they wanted, and it showed and went off pretty much exactly as they planned – aside from the rain. An intimate woodland ceremony, followed by lots of food and drink and two different live bands and a DJ as well ensured their day went off with a bang, nicely finished off later with surprise fireworks organised by the groom (and unbeknown to the bride!).
