An outdoor ceremony, a tipi wedding reception, a hot air balloon basket, and a donut wall at a fishery in Sussex.
Phoebe + Nick were married legally earlier the same week, so they could create the wedding of their dreams in rural East Sussex in June.
The couple put a lot of work into their wedding and had some very loyal, lovely friends and family members to help – with everything. It was all hands on deck at many points due to the nature of the dry hire venue. All the finishing touches were lovingly handmade or hand sourced by the bride, and the groom even camped out at the tipi the night before the wedding to finalise set up and ensure all the final details could be finished to perfection on the morning of the wedding!
Phoebe + Nick had an outdoor ceremony with the most stunning flower arch, then team Devine Bride assembled a long aisle along the side of the lake for a massive confetti throw to lead the couple and the guests into a champagne reception. For photos, there was a hot air balloon basket set up next to the ceremony space with some gorgeous staggered balloons, as Nick popped the question in a hot air balloon – so sweet and such a cute idea! Then, with a lot of help from a lot of groomsmen, Team Devine Bride moved the benches used for the ceremony up the hill to the tipi for the wedding breakfast, laid out the final details, assembled the donut wall, and then ensured everything was ready for the feast. There was a wonderful steak and chips barbeque for dinner, followed by some fun speeches, the donut wall and the dessert table. Nick played in the band that led the wedding from day to night, and guests danced the night away until the fireworks came on. It was the most magnificent weather and a truly magical day.
Team Devine Bride was at the venue all day on the wedding day, from early on directing suppliers and accepting deliveries, then arranging the last décor details for guests arriving. Then from the ceremony onwards we were managing and directing the day, suppliers, and the guests.
